Kraemer North America (Kraemer) is a privately-held general contractor headquartered in Plain, Wisconsin with regional offices in Minnesota and Colorado. Established in 1911, our roots were founded in constructing challenging bridges and highways across the U.S.

For more than 50 years, Kraemer has engaged in rail construction to sustain and improve the capacity of freight rail, commuter rail, and light rail transit projects. Beyond delivering capacity improvements, we partner with our clients to minimize the cost associated with construction outages through our comprehensive planning and switch-out process, engineering expertise, experienced personnel, and specialized equipment.

In 2014, Kraemer joined the Obayashi global family of companies. This strategic partnership has allowed Kraemer to take part in more projects, including larger scale civil works projects in Kraemer’s core areas and in new areas across the U.S.
