We are excited to introduce our Friction Drive Hi-Rail system for RT Cranes, specifically designed to transform your Terex RT-230 30 Ton Crane into a versatile Railroad Crane. This groundbreaking system integrates retractable rail gear onto your crane’s frame, allowing it to perform both traditional lifting tasks and railway operations, significantly enhancing your return on investment and equipment utilization. The key to our system’s success lies in the rail wheels equipped with a friction drive hub that seamlessly engages with the tires, leveraging the existing road axle drive line and braking system for smooth propulsion and braking. For precise alignment and stability during railroad operations, the axles are hydraulically locked, ensuring safe and straight travel on rails. Additionally, our system includes front and rear vertical railcar couplers and a 60 CFM train air brake system, enabling cab-controlled railcar braking and seamless transitions between lifting and rail tasks.
