NICHOLASVILLE, Ky.-- R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC (RJC), Nicholasville, Ky., today announced the acquisition of Roadway Worker Training, Inc. (RWT) based in St. Augustine, Fla.
RJC management is excited about the opportunities the affiliation brings. “RWT has long been respected for being the best safety, compliance and technical training provider in the industry. It is just a perfect fit with our family of railroad services,” said Craig King, RJC president and CEO.
Dave Oram, president of RWT agreed. “This is an ideal match of two railroad services companies that are driven by delivering the highest quality to their industry ,” he said. “We want employees and customers alike to understand that nothing is changing regarding how we do business.” RWT, founded in 2001, provides highly-specialized training and support services to the railroad industry. RWT has four business divisions, RWT Signal Services, Railroad Protective Services, Focal Point Productions and RWT Training, with more than 150 employees and associates working on railroad projects from coast to coast and Canada.
Jim Cashwell, RWT co-founder and chairman, will play a continuing role with RWT and R. J. Corman for the foreseeable future.
R. J. Corman Railroad Group,LLC, founded in 1973 by Rick Corman, employs more than 1400 people in 23 states, operates 11 short line railroads, provides industrial switching services, emergency response services, track material distribution, track construction, signal design and build services, and builds Railpower locomotives.
