(December 15, 2015) - Tim Fish, HDR's East region aviation practice lead, has been named to Aviation Business magazine's Top 40 under 40 list of professionals honored for making significant contributions or innovations to the aviation industry. Nominations were submitted by peers and judged on criteria that included industry involvement and contribution, job commitment, achievement in his or her position and innovation in his or her respective field.
Fish leads development and strategy for HDR's growing aviation practice from the firm's Fort Lauderdale office. He also provides technical expertise on large-scale airfield projects and leads professional services development for aviation across the company to improve technical capabilities.
As the aviation industry continues to evolve, Fish has empowered others to transform their approach to solving problems. He has led efforts to provide 4D and 5D design elements for complex airfield projects and programs, allowing sponsors and stakeholders to see first–hand potential impacts to operations, schedule and cost of proposed improvements during the planning and design phase.
In addition to his responsibilities with HDR, Fish is active in the aviation and engineering community. He currently serves as secretary for the Airport Consultants Council Engineering Technical Advisory Committee. He also has served as branch president for the Broward County branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He serves on the West Boca High School Community Academy Advisory Board, providing input on the development of curriculum for the Engineering and Design Academy.
